Temporary Staffing Information Guide

Welcome to the Team!
It is our pleasure to welcome you aboard, and we would like to congratulate you on your success. We promise to continually work to find you suitable opportunities all year round. When working as a temporary employee you will no longer be stuck in a long term routine but rather experiencing new organizations and constantly developing personally and professionally.

This introduction guide will provide you with the information you require during your time with us. If you have any question not found in this handbook please feel free to give our office a call.

We take the time to match you to a job that “fits.” Upon initial contact by a representative of Teamrecruiter.com we will sit down with you to review your knowledge, skills, abilities, and interests and begin the process of creating a file for you. Once this is completed and a job match is found you will be contacted immediately.

When you decide to accept the assignment please make sure you receive and record the following information from your Teamrecruiter.com representative:

  • The companies name and address
  • The contact name that you will be reporting to
  • Job description – Daily duties
  • Daily work hours
  • Hourly Rate
  • Length of assignment, and any possibility of extension or transition into permanent
  • Dress code
  • Any protective equipment required
  • Assignment number

When placed in a temporary role with one of our clients you will receive an Assignment Employee booklet that will include the following:

  • Application form
  • Reference clearance forms
  • Request for void cheque
  • Timesheets and procedures
  • Emergency contact information form
  • Registration checklist
  • Please also visit our Health and Safety page by clicking on the following link Health & Safety. There you will find our Health and Safety policies and guidelines along with a checklist of responsibilities. Please read and acknowledge the information.

During your assignment we request that you contact our office for the following reasons:

  • If you are going to be late or if you would like early departure
  • If you are ill or have an emergency to attend to and cannot make it to work
  • If you require time off or would like to request a vacation
  • If you are asked to complete additional duties that were not originally assigned
  • If you are put in a situation that you are unsure how to handle
  • If you need guidance with an assignment
  • If you are injured while at work
  • If you are requested to work overtime
  • If you change any of your contact information
  • If the client asks you to return for another assignment or offers you a permanent role
  • If you would like the opportunity to be extended or transition into permanent
  • If you had the chance to develop new skills that are not on your resume, we would like to know so we can update your file
  • When your assignment is coming to an end
  • Any other situation that you are may require assistance, please call and speak with any member of our Team!

The client will notify when breaks and lunch should be taken.

Please Note* Not showing up for an assignment is considered a major performance issue, and failure to provide a legitimate explanation will result in release from the assignment.

If you are not on assignment with us, Keep in Touch! Let us know when you are available or if you are taking a holiday and can not work for an extended period of time.

Now while you are working for various clients of Teamrecruiter.com one thing remains the same you are an employee of Teamrecruiter.com. We process your pay!

In order for your pay to be processed you will have to complete a Teamrecruiter.com timesheet at the end of your agreed upon pay period. Timesheets can be found in your assignment employee booklet. Please ensure timesheets are faxed to our office by the Friday at the end of your pay period (Sunday if you work week-ends) to guarantee that your pay will be processed. Taxes will be deducted from your pay in accordance with Provincial and Federal regulations. Your pay will be automatically deposited into your requested account.

Please contact our office for information on statutory holidays and vacation pay.

Expectations from Teamrecruiter.com and helpful hints

  • Show up early for your assignment especially on your first day
  • Take the time to introduce yourself to other colleagues around the office
  • Make sure you are aware of the company dress codes and dress accordingly
  • Don’t be afraid to ask question-if you are unsure it is better that you ask
  • Be flexible
  • Do not make personal phone calls while on assignment
  • Remember to record your appropriate work hours on your timesheet daily
  • Don’t be afraid to call our office with any question or concerns
  • Have Fun and work hard!
